Athens Forest Kindergarten is looking for a warm, thoughtful, and experienced individual to join our team of Educators! Athens Forest Kindergarten is a nonprofit organization devoted to providing early childhood education in nature. We envision a world where children are free to learn through movement, play and socialization in a natural setting. We strive to provide children with high quality educational opportunities that develop and promote authentic inspiration, intention, and interdependence with the Earth and its inhabitants.

Our flagship program is a half-day cooperative forest kindergarten (Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-1:00). We also operate a drop-in weekly playgroup (Friday) at various parks to increase the accessibility of our offerings. Additional outreach goals of the program include parent education, teacher education, pedagogical action research, and developing new programs. This Educator will join a collaborative team who meet regularly for reflective planning sessions to develop and refine our emergent curriculum. This Educator will have a unique opportunity to be part of the organization’s growth and development, bringing their own passion and expertise to the table.
